A note on traffic volume

Island Crest Way carries about 19,500 vehicles/day. For three lane roads where we know the traffic volume, it is included with the map above.  Some of the roads carry fewer vehicles per day than Island Crest, some carry more.   Traffic  modeling by the City's consultants, the evidence at Merrimount today (ie no back ups) and the experience of other cities all give reassurance ICW can handle the volume in a three lane configuration.
